Maccabi Haifa Praises Young Striker Nive Gabay's Progress on Loan

Maccabi Haifa is reportedly pleased with the development of striker Nive Gabay, who is currently on loan at Kiryat Shmona. Gabay was the first of 17 players Maccabi Haifa loaned out this summer to various teams in Israel's top three leagues. He has started three league games and appeared as a substitute in two others for Kiryat Shmona, adding speed to their attack and earning praise from coach Shai Birman. Gabay's debut for Kiryat Shmona was successful, including scoring his first goal in a Toto Cup match. He also scored twice in a league game against Hapoel Jerusalem and impressed in another league loss to the same team. Maccabi Haifa is monitoring his progress and may integrate him into their squad next summer.

In separate news, Maccabi Haifa midfielder Ali Mohamed played 78 minutes for Niger in their 2-1 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying win against Lesotho on Tuesday. He was substituted with his team leading 1-0, and Niger went on to secure the victory. Mohamed had recently recovered from an injury sustained in a league match.
