Iran Threatens Regional Air Travel Over US Sanctions

A senior advisor to Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, Mohammad Mokhber, has issued a veiled threat against civilian aviation across the Middle East. Mokhber stated that if Iran is prevented from operating flights and receiving aviation services due to American sanctions on its airlines, then no other country in the region will be able to do so either.

"The flights in the region will be open to everyone or to no one," Mokhber declared, implying a potential disruption to air travel for all nations in the vicinity. This statement comes as a direct response to the ongoing US sanctions targeting Iranian aviation companies.
