Ophira Assayag Defends Omer Adam Amid Backlash Over Wedding Suit
Singer Omer Adam sparked controversy after wearing the same suit he donned at his wedding to a subsequent event, just weeks after marrying Sacha. The fashion choice quickly went viral on social media, drawing sharp criticism for a perceived stylistic misstep.
Media personality Ophira Assayag strongly defended Adam on her radio show on 102FM, challenging the critics and calling their claims out of touch. She explained that Adam appeared at a friend's wedding wearing the same white pants, blue jacket, and light blue shirt he had worn under the chuppah, with the exception of a wedding boutonnière.
Assayag expressed her admiration for Adam's decision and questioned the social norm that discourages re-wearing expensive clothing. "What's the problem? Is it forbidden to wear clothes twice?" she asked, adding that she herself would wear a dress multiple times. She encouraged Adam to continue wearing his wedding suit to future performances, suggesting he "do it deliberately."
