Fox Israel CEO Harel Wiesler Avoids Designer Fashion, Luxury Jewelry
Harel Wiesler, the owner, CEO, and director of the public company Fox-Weasel, which operates the FOX fashion chain in Israel and abroad, revealed his aversion to spending large sums on designer clothing and luxury items in a recent interview. Speaking on the "Executive Program" podcast by Bepo and ynet, Wiesler discussed key business decisions throughout his career.
He identified bringing several international brands to Israel around 2012 as his best management decision. At that time, Fox-Weasel's portfolio included only FOX, La'Yin, Saks, and Billabong. Wiesler explained that he saw Israel opening up to global fashion trends and decided to introduce brands like American Eagle and Mango, among others.
While Wiesler admitted to enjoying luxury cars, such as Mercedes and BMW, he stated that he cannot bring himself to spend significant amounts on high-end fashion or accessories. "I don't spend money on clothes at all. Psychologically, I can't buy jeans for 200 euros," he said. He added that while he enjoys seeing his children able to purchase such items, he personally finds it impossible due to his own psychology, extending this sentiment to jewelry and luxury watches.
