Iran's President Tells US to Decide Fate of 'War'

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian stated in an interview with Fox News that Tehran does not wish for the continuation of the current conflict and believes that disputes should be resolved through negotiations. He emphasized that resorting to violence is unnecessary if diplomatic solutions are possible. Pezeshkian asserted that Israel provoked the current war and imposed it on Tehran, but indicated that Iran is not seeking further escalation, saying, "But we do not want to continue." The Iranian leader placed the decision on ending the war with the United States, stating that Washington must choose the future direction of the conflict.

In separate remarks, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu addressed the possibility of overthrowing the Iranian regime, which he described as a threat to global peace. Speaking at the UN General Assembly in New York, Netanyahu expressed confidence that the Iranian people's strength would ultimately prevail over the current authorities, leading to freedom for the population. He suggested that changes within Iran are inevitable and urged the international community to observe the situation. Netanyahu attributed potential regime downfall to corruption, deceit, and brutality, while also criticizing the Iranian government's control over information through internet restrictions and censorship.
