Yair Golan Mocks Netanyahu's UN Bomb Diagram with AI Image

Ahead of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's anticipated speech at the UN General Assembly, Yair Golan, chairman of the Democrats party, posted a public jab on X, formerly Twitter. Golan shared an AI-generated image that satirizes Netanyahu's famous "bomb diagram" presentation at the UN. The doctored image depicts Netanyahu pointing to a bomb graphic divided into segments, with "October 7 - 1200 killed" at the bottom, "September 24 - 2200 killed" above it, and the dramatic "October 27 - Go Home" on the red line, indicating election day.

This latest post intensifies the sharp political and personal rivalry between Golan and Netanyahu, which has spanned nearly a decade. A key turning point occurred in 2016 when Golan served as Deputy Chief of Staff under Netanyahu's government. Golan's controversial Holocaust Remembrance Day speech, in which he warned of "chilling processes," drew sharp public criticism from Netanyahu. This event is widely believed to have significantly damaged Golan's chances of becoming Chief of Staff, leading him into politics.

Since entering politics and now leading the Democrats, Golan has become one of Netanyahu's most vocal and aggressive critics. He frequently attacks Netanyahu's handling of the war, the hostage situation, and legal proceedings, asserting that the Prime Minister's primary motivation is personal political survival at the expense of Israel's national and security interests.
