Maccabi Tel Aviv Fans March Ahead of EuroLeague Opener in France

Dozens of Maccabi Tel Aviv basketball fans, some from the Gate 11 supporters' organization, marched through the French city of Villeurbanne on Thursday ahead of the team's EuroLeague season opener against ASVEL. The team is set to begin its European campaign against the French opponent, with the fans expressing their excitement for the upcoming game.

Maccabi Tel Aviv, coached by Oded Katash, will have a full roster available for the match, with the exception of the injured Goran Biu. Daniel Theis, Ozgur Boyer, and J.J. Clark participated in full training, though Clark's participation in the game remains uncertain. Theis, who was previously set to join Tony Parker's team, made the move to Tel Aviv due to financial difficulties.

The club views the opening game as crucial, aiming to start the European season with a victory and a strong performance, contrasting with a poor start in the previous season. "We feel we have a good roster, good chemistry, and most importantly, that we stay as healthy as possible. This will impact the course of the season and how we look in every game," a team representative stated.
