National Service Volunteers Complete Sensitive Intelligence Training for Prison Service

A group of young women participating in the "Tzufiya" program have completed specialized training for sensitive security and intelligence roles within the Israel Prison Service (IPS). The graduation ceremony, held in Airport City, awarded certificates to the women after an intensive course designed to prepare them for intelligence work within the IPS.

The "Tzufiya" program, initiated by a Knesset lobby for religious and Haredi women, aims to integrate national service volunteers into significant roles while respecting their religious observance. The initiative was promoted with the support of National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and prominent rabbis.

During the ceremony, attendees heard a lecture from Rabbi Shmuel Moreno, brother of a fallen IDF officer, followed by the certificate awarding. The program seeks to bridge the gap between sensitive security work and maintaining a religious lifestyle, ensuring participants can uphold both.

Minister Ben-Gvir addressed the graduates, stating that "righteous daughters can integrate into the police and the Prison Service as a true mission." He emphasized that this integration allows them to "continue to be exactly who and what they are," strengthening Israel and its people. He added that the program opens the doors of security bodies to national service volunteers, placing them "at the heart of intelligence work and roles that directly impact the country's security."

Knesset Deputy Speaker Limor Son Har-Melech, who chairs the lobby, highlighted the program's success in realizing the initiative's goals. She stated that the graduates have a "unique and immense mission" to protect the nation from within their faith. She credited the program's realization to Minister Ben-Gvir's support and Rabbi Shmuel Eliyahu's blessing, asserting that it demonstrates that high professional standards can be met while remaining "in complete loyalty to Halakha and the world of Torah."
