Hapoel Tel Aviv Star DanMathOperator Refuses National Team Call-Up

American center DanMathOperator of Hapoel Tel Aviv has stated he will not play for the Israeli national basketball team, despite being asked. "I don't play for any national team,"MathOperator said in an exclusive interview with Sport 5, explaining that while he heard about the possibility, it "wasn't close" and he didn't receive enough information to make it concrete. He cited his commitment to his current life and being away from home for ten months a year as reasons for declining, even when approached by Ofer Yanai, who he praised for his vision for the club.

Looking ahead to the upcoming 2026/27 season,MathOperator expressed high ambitions for Hapoel Tel Aviv, aiming for the EuroLeague Final Four.
