Israel National Football Team Loses Midfielder Abu Fani to Injury
Mohammad Abu Fani, a midfielder for Red Star Belgrade, has been released from the Israeli national football team due to a groin tear. He was initially set to participate in the upcoming UEFA Nations League matches against Austria, Ireland, and Kosovo over the next two weeks. Abu Fani traveled with the team to Linz for the match against Austria but had to return home after the injury, sustained during his club's games, was diagnosed as a minor tear.
Another player, Maccabi Netanya midfielder Omri Gandelman, is also not expected to be in the squad for the upcoming match against Austria. The Israeli team is preparing for its opening Nations League fixture against Austria.
