Hapoel Tel Aviv Star Amir Coffey Out With Injury Ahead of EuroLeague Opener
Hapoel Tel Aviv will begin their 2026/27 EuroLeague season on Thursday against Bayern Munich without new signing Amir Coffey, who is sidelined with a leg muscle injury. Coffey, who joined the Israeli club this summer after seven seasons in the NBA, is expected to miss several weeks of play. During his NBA career, Coffey played for the Los Angeles Clippers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Phoenix Suns, appearing in 369 regular season games and averaging 6.2 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game. He previously scored 6 points in 26 minutes during the Super Cup loss to Maccabi Tel Aviv and recorded 15 points in a preseason win against Bayern Munich.
