Bereaved Father Shares Anguish of Constant Fear for Sons Fighting After Another Son's Death

Hagai Lubar, whose son Yonatan was killed in combat in the Gaza Strip, has shared a raw and emotional post detailing the intense fear and anxiety that grips families who have lost a child while other sons continue to fight on the front lines. Lubar's words were prompted by a recent attack in which Neria Leiter, brother of Major Moshe Yedidya Leiter, who fell in battle in Beit Hanoun, was severely injured.

"There are no words that can explain the fear and anxiety of someone whose son was killed and another son continues to fight, from the second notification," Lubar wrote. "With every knock on the door or ring of the phone, the heart skips a beat, and the terrible memory flashes for a moment from the depths of consciousness. And the sleepless nights. It is a nightmare, it is hell, and it is a great pride that we were blessed with heroic sons, brave of soul and spirit, who cannot stand aside and are unable to leave the mission to others, and they continue the great spirit that was cut short."

Lubar concluded his message by offering strength to other families and praying for the recovery of the injured Neria Dov ben Chana, asking for divine healing.
