Israeli Defense Minister Katz Slams Erdogan as 'Paper Sultan'

Defense Minister Israel Katz launched a sharp verbal attack on Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan via the social media platform X, calling him a "paper sultan who is strong in antisemitic incitement speeches but weak in deeds."

Katz warned Erdogan to "stop dealing with Israel," asserting that "the State of Israel is strong and knows how to take care of itself." He contrasted Israel's strength with the "helpless Kurds whom he abuses in Turkey."

The minister's remarks followed Erdogan's speech at the United Nations earlier in the week, which Katz characterized as "antisemitic and inciting." Katz accused Erdogan of embracing and funding Hamas murderers and rapists, while simultaneously blaming Israel for acting in self-defense against the terror organization.
