Elijah Bryant Ranks EuroLeague Teams, Places Maccabi Tel Aviv in Lower Tier

As the new EuroLeague basketball season kicks off, Elijah Bryant, a star player for Hapoel Tel Aviv, has released his power rankings for all 20 participating teams on his YouTube channel. Bryant, who analyzed offseason moves in a recent video, categorized teams into five tiers. He placed his own team, Hapoel Tel Aviv, in the top tier (Tier A), alongside Panathinaikos and Olympiacos.

Maccabi Tel Aviv was notably placed in Tier D, alongside seven other teams. Bryant commented on Maccabi's roster, noting the presence of Yam Madar and Dragan Bender, and the return of Bonzie Colson, describing the team as "solid."

Bryant also discussed the departure of Tamir Blatt from Hapoel Tel Aviv, highlighting Blatt's significant contributions, particularly his passing and long-range shooting, which he believes helped space the floor offensively and was crucial for the team's attack. Bryant expressed curiosity about how Hapoel will adapt without him.

Bryant's full ranking places Hapoel Tel Aviv, Panathinaikos, and Olympiacos in Tier A. Tier B includes Fenerbahçe and Real Madrid. Tier C features Anadolu Efes, Monaco, and Partizan. Tier D, where Maccabi Tel Aviv is placed, also includes Barcelona, Milan, Valencia, Beşiktaş, Žalgiris, and Bayern Munich. The final tier, Tier E, consists of Villeurbanne, Paris, Baskonia, and Bologna.
