Fashion Influencer Eti Kobo Builds Independent Business Empire
Eti Kobo, once known primarily as a fashion blogger and social media influencer, has established herself as an entrepreneur managing a growing business empire remotely. She owns two successful brands: Coconut Love, specializing in cultured pearls, and Coto, a basic fashion line. Combined, these brands generate hundreds of thousands of shekels in monthly sales.
In a candid interview with Walla!, Kobo shared her motivations, stating, "The work fulfills me, it gives me satisfaction, a sense of value, and also security." She openly expressed her ambition for a significant business exit, saying, "I would be happy to receive an offer and sell, an exit is truly the dream, but I am not doing anything for it." This independent success stands out given her family's considerable wealth.
Kobo is married to Oded Kobo, a tech entrepreneur and investor whose personal fortune is estimated in the tens of millions of dollars. Oded is the son of international real estate mogul and billionaire Bebo Kobo, whose family wealth is estimated at hundreds of millions of dollars. The Kobo family is considered one of Israel's and the world's wealthiest and most influential business families, with assets spanning real estate, high-tech, and retail.
Despite her family's financial backing and living in Miami, Kobo is committed to maintaining her financial independence. She manages the logistics and business operations of her brands in Israel herself. Kobo attributes this drive for financial autonomy to her childhood experiences as the daughter of divorced parents, stating, "Perhaps from there came my desire to know that I can always stand on my own two feet."
Kobo's path to success was challenging. She grew up in the Kfar Shalem neighborhood of South Tel Aviv, faced learning difficulties as a child, and worked multiple jobs from a young age to support herself. "I worked hard because I wanted to prove to myself that I could. Maybe this can give hope to girls with learning difficulties, it requires perseverance," she noted.
Her brands have achieved significant commercial success, partly due to strategic collaborations, such as a partnership with Bar Refaeli's beauty brand that sold out within hours. Kobo currently employs staff in Israel, manages a local logistics facility, and continues to expand her jewelry and fashion operations into international markets, demonstrating her ability to build her own economic empire alongside her family's wealth.
