Neriah Laiter Undergoes Brain Surgery After West Bank Terror Attack
Neriah Laiter, who was critically injured in a terror attack at the Bl 'checkpoint' in the Benjamin Regional Brigade area earlier today, has undergone complex brain surgery. His condition remains serious, with his life still in danger, according to Shaare Zedek Medical Center.
Following life-saving procedures in the trauma unit, Laiter underwent the multi-hour brain surgery and is receiving additional treatments. Extensive teams, including surgical and intensive care personnel, are continuing to provide him with life-saving care.
Social workers are providing sensitive support to Laiter's family. Laiter was injured when a Palestinian vehicle struck him during a routine inspection at the checkpoint. The driver, identified as the attacker, was neutralized by forces at the scene. Footage of the incident was released by the IDF spokesperson.
