Negev School Principal Under House Arrest After Alleged Student Assault

Police in Israel's Negev region have placed a high school principal under house arrest on suspicion of assaulting and biting a student during a fight on school grounds. The altercation reportedly involved the principal's son, his nephew, and another student. The principal is alleged to have intervened in the fight and then assaulted and bit one of the students.

However, the principal denies the allegations, claiming he was the one assaulted by the student. He stated that he had previously reported the student's behavior to the police a day before the incident.

Following the investigation, the principal was released under restrictive conditions, including house arrest. His son and nephew have been barred from the school premises. Police are expected to conduct a confrontation between the principal and the student as part of the ongoing investigation.

Police confirmed receiving a report of the fight and stated that initial statements were collected from all involved parties. Based on these statements, the principal was released to house arrest, and two other individuals were removed from the school until October 15th, while the investigation continues.
