US Shelved Rubio Condemnation of UK Sanctions on West Bank Goods

Senior U.S. officials in Israel and the United States drafted a statement condemning British sanctions targeting trade from Judea and Samaria, according to a Reuters report. The statement was intended to be issued under the name of Secretary of State Marco Rubio.
Two sources told Reuters that the proposed statement would have described the UK's actions as "hostile to Israel and contributing to antisemitism." However, the statement did not receive support from the White House or senior State Department officials, leading to its shelving.
On the same day the draft was reportedly prepared, Rubio refrained from explicitly condemning the sanctions.
