Terrorist Claims Debt Led to Attack on Israelis

The terrorist who murdered Natanel Sharon in a shooting attack at a spring in Benjamin confessed during his interrogation that he decided to carry out the attack and murder Jews due to severe financial debt. According to the investigation findings, the attacker, a Hamas operative, used a weapon he had acquired in 2022 along with two magazines, which he had previously hidden near his home. He described the events of the attack day, stating he drove around the area with the weapon, saw Israeli vehicles, drove past them, then returned and opened fire in automatic mode, losing control. He claimed that after the shooting, he fled the scene when someone began shooting at him, hitting him, and he then escaped by car to a hospital in Ramallah. The terrorist is expected to reenact the attack at the scene tomorrow. He stated, "In the last year, I fell into hundreds of thousands of shekels in debt. The day before the attack, I decided to commit suicide, but I realized that if I committed suicide, the debts would not disappear, and I would not go to paradise. So I decided to carry out an attack and murder Jews."
