Tens of Thousands Attend Massive Selichot Service in Rishon LeZion
Tens of thousands of people gathered at the Rishon LeZion Amphitheater the day before Yom Kippur for a large Selichot (penitential prayers) service. The event was initiated and organized by Rabbi Yosef Deloya, described as one of the leading figures in encouraging repentance.
The "Genius" (Ha'Gadol Ha'Yenuka), a prominent rabbi, led the service, with thousands of attendees reciting Selichot prayers and piyutim (liturgical poems) in an atmosphere of spiritual awakening and longing ahead of the holy day.
