A new video released days after an indictment shows the moments of a deadly crash at the Nir Banim gas station on June 5, 2026. According to the charge sheet, the truck driver kept moving out of the station while the victim was standing near the vehicle, and allegedly did so even though he knew the man was there.
Prosecutors say the driver failed to make sure the victim had cleared the truck’s path. The victim was struck by the corner of the truck bed, thrown to the ground, and then run over by the heavy vehicle’s wheels. He was killed at the scene.
After the crash, the driver stopped the truck, tried to provide help, and called emergency responders. Footage from the scene captures the violent sequence of events, which was described in the article as shocking.
In its remand request, the prosecution said the indictment shows the driver continued driving despite knowing the victim was beside the truck, arguing this reflected disregard for the duty of care required of heavy-vehicle drivers. He is charged with negligent homicide, driving under the influence, possession of a dangerous drug not for personal use after dozens of grams of cannabis were found in the truck, and also assault and threats.
