Iran's President Claims US, Israel Attacked Iran at UN

Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian, speaking at the UN General Assembly on Wednesday, asserted that the United States and Israel have attacked Iran, and that his country is "only defending itself." He stated that children in Iran were killed by bombs from the US and Israel, describing them as innocent victims who committed no crime. Pezeshkian further claimed that Iran was attacked with the most modern weaponry by Israel and the US, reiterating that Iran's actions are purely defensive.

According to Sky News Arabia, the US delegation reportedly left the assembly hall as Pezeshkian began his speech. Addressing Iran's nuclear program, Pezeshkian declared that Iran does not require permission to defend its territory and described its nuclear program as peaceful, intended for scientific, agricultural, industrial, and progressive purposes.

Pezeshkian extended an offer of cooperation to the world, emphasizing that this gesture stems from a deep conviction that no one in the region can be secure alone. He concluded by stating that either nations will build security together, or they will be forced to coexist in a destabilized world.
