Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s threats against the Islamic Republic in a post on X. He said the Americans should be careful with their statements and warned that Iranian forces are ready to respond differently.
Qalibaf questioned whether Washington itself believes its threats have any effect. “Do they not think that if their threats had any impact, they would not have reached a point of despair today?” he wrote. He added, “We do not trust American threats. It is better for them to be careful in their statements.”
The parliament speaker said Iran’s forces are prepared to act, concluding, “Whatever they say, we are the ones who will act.”
