Assi Azar Returns to Screenwriting with New Drama Series

Television host and creator Assi Azar is returning to his roots as a screenwriter with a new, intriguing television project titled "The Happiest Day of Her Life" (working title). The series, slated for broadcast on Keshet 12, promises a blend of drama, humor, and romantic twists, according to a report on the Instagram page "Celebs.notifications".

The plot centers on Adi, a young woman whose wedding day turns into a nightmare when she discovers her famous singer husband has cheated on her. In a dramatic act of revenge, Adi decides to reciprocate the infidelity during the reception with a waiter. However, Azar's signature dramatic flair comes into play as Adi unexpectedly falls in love with the waiter, complicating her plan.

The seven-episode series will be produced by No Drama Productions. Casting is currently underway, with industry insiders eagerly anticipating the announcement of the actors who will portray the betrayed bride, the cheating groom, and the waiter. The production is currently in the casting phase, managed by casting director Hila Yuval.

This exploration of marital suspicion and drama may echo Azar's personal life. He recently shared a humorous social media exchange with his mother, Mally Azar, about waking up to find his husband, Albert Escola, getting up in the middle of the night. Azar initially suspected Escola of returning from a secret outing, prompting his mother to call him "not normal." Azar stated his intention to check security cameras to verify Escola's account of returning home at midnight.
