Donald Trump Jr. Backs Military Action Against Iran, Cites Threat to Israel

Eric Trump, son of former U.S. President Donald Trump, has expressed strong support for military action against Iran, stating that his father "had the courage" to act against a nation that "wants death to Israel" and the United States. In an exclusive interview with Israel's Channel 12 News, Trump argued that the West had ignored Iran's nuclear ambitions for years and that destroying its nuclear facilities was a necessary step.

Trump emphasized that Iran's animosity towards Israel was a significant factor in the decision-making process. He asserted that while his father prefers to avoid wars, the circumstances, including Iran's pursuit of nuclear weapons, necessitated intervention. He praised his father's decision to act, stating it was crucial to prevent a hostile nation from acquiring weapons of mass destruction.

Regarding the upcoming Israeli elections, Eric Trump stated that support for candidates was a matter for Washington to decide. He noted that his father has historically maintained excellent relationships with all Israeli political parties and has always received a warm reception. While acknowledging the respect between his father and Prime Minister Netanyahu, he declined to commit to official support at this stage, suggesting future developments would reveal more.

Eric Trump also revealed that the ongoing conflict in Israel has temporarily halted the Trump Organization's expansion plans in the country. He had been close to finalizing deals for luxury hotels in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv in February 2023 but postponed these ventures due to the war, deeming further business discussions insensitive at the time. However, he expressed continued interest in future opportunities in Israel.

Despite the pause in Israeli projects, the Trump Organization is proceeding with a $2 billion development in Tbilisi, Georgia, and is diversifying its investments into cryptocurrency, artificial intelligence, and defense technologies. Notably, the organization has invested in the Israeli drone company XTEND, which Eric Trump described as having "amazing technology" critical for safeguarding the Western way of life.
