Maccabi Tel Aviv officially unveiled its new uniforms for the 2026-2027 season on Wednesday in a minute-long video. The highlight of the launch was a subtle jab at their rivals, Hapoel Tel Aviv. At the end of the video, the team showed Yam Madar, a former Hapoel player, crossing a street near the arena, symbolizing his move to Maccabi.
Madar, who played for Hapoel for five years across two stints (2018-2021 and 2024-2026), made a dramatic summer transfer to Maccabi after paying his release clause. His official debut for Maccabi came in the Super Cup game where they defeated Hapoel 101-83. In that game, Madar scored 13 points, dished out 7 assists, and had zero turnovers.
