Police arrested four additional central Israel residents on Monday in the suspected pedophilia case nicknamed "The Pale Scout". All of those detained are family members, according to the report.
The case first led to arrests on Tuesday of a grandfather, a father and a daughter, on suspicion of indecent acts and sex offenses against the daughter’s young son. Investigators allege the grandfather committed serious sex crimes against his grandson while the child’s mother was sitting nearby in the living room, using her mobile phone. The grandfather’s role was uncovered during the interrogation of his son, who was also arrested over his involvement.
The investigation is broad and was exposed through social media conversations among several central Israel residents who allegedly linked themselves to pedophilia and intrafamily sex offenses. Most of the suspects are from central Israel, while one lives in the north. Police say the probe includes suspected pedophilia, possession of obscene material, indecent acts, and sex crimes against helpless minors, including the suspects’ own children, neighbors’ children and friends’ children.
The inquiry is being led by the Cyber Unit and Unit 105 in Lahav 433. Detectives traced messages in which the suspects allegedly described abuse and encouraged others to carry out severe sexual acts. In one exchange, a female suspect wrote, "there is another gap... I can be your daughter in age," and added, "the ultimate fantasy for a father to fulfill is to sleep with his daughter," alongside further graphic remarks. In Petah Tikva Magistrate’s Court, one suspect’s remand was extended until Monday, June 22, another was released, and two women were ordered to house arrest after police asked for a stay so they could appeal.
