Former Israeli Soccer Star Ben Sahar Warns Fans of Imposter Instagram Accounts

Former Israeli soccer player and sports commentator Ben Sahar has issued a stern warning to his social media followers about two Instagram accounts impersonating him. Sahar clarified in a dramatic social media post that these accounts are fraudulent and have no connection to him.

In a story shared on his personal account, Sahar explicitly identified the usernames of the fake profiles, urging his followers to exercise extreme caution. He emphasized that he does not send private messages related to the content of these fraudulent accounts, nor is he selling anything or offering any services. He implored anyone contacted by these accounts to block and report them instead of responding.

Sahar, a prominent figure in Israeli football, began his career at 16 with English club Chelsea. He played for numerous clubs across Europe, including in England, Spain, the Netherlands, Germany, France, and Cyprus, as well as Israeli teams like Hapoel Be'er Sheva and Hapoel Tel Aviv. He represented the Israeli national team 44 times, scoring 8 goals, and won multiple championships and state cups, also becoming the top scorer in the Israeli Premier League for the 2018/19 season. He retired from professional soccer in April 2026 at the age of 36.

Currently, Sahar is active in sports media as a commentator for ONE and hosts a podcast. He also served as a commentator for Kan 11 during the recent World Cup broadcasts.
