Canada Pledges $100 Million in Aid to Palestinians
Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney announced that Canada will provide $100 million Canadian dollars in international aid to Palestine. Speaking to reporters at the United Nations, Carney stated that $80 million Canadian dollars will be allocated to immediate humanitarian assistance to alleviate suffering.
An additional $20 million Canadian dollars will be directed towards supporting capacity-building in the areas of peace and security. The announcement was made during Carney's remarks at the UN.
