Microsoft Appoints Ohad Yassin to Lead Israel R&D Center
Microsoft has appointed Ohad Yassin, a senior company executive, as the new CEO of its Research and Development center in Israel, the tech giant announced Wednesday. Yassin will assume the role in November, succeeding Michal Brverman-Blumenthal, who has held the position for the past six and a half years.
Yassin joined Microsoft in 2014 and played a significant role in expanding the local R&D center's operations. He was instrumental in establishing and nurturing new product groups in the fields of cloud, AI, software, and hardware. Currently, he serves as a Corporate Vice President responsible for Microsoft's sovereign cloud operations, leading the global strategy for the Azure cloud platform and managing worldwide teams working with clients on digital sovereignty.
Yassin will continue to hold his current position concurrently with his new leadership role at the Israeli R&D center. His appointment marks a continuation of Microsoft's investment in its Israeli innovation hub.
