Yakov Bardugo, once a prominent voice amplifying messages for Prime Minister Netanyahu and the coalition, has significantly reduced his public media appearances since being secured a spot on the Likud party list. This shift marks a stark contrast to his previous high-profile media presence.

A senior Likud official suggests the party is deliberately downplaying Bardugo's visibility, fearing he might alienate undecided and moderate voters. This strategy aligns with the party's broader effort to appeal to this demographic, similar to the move of transferring MK Tali Gottlieb to the Otzma Yehudit party.

Before securing his place on the list, Bardugo was a frequent commentator, hosted a daily show on Channel 14, and broadcast on Galey Israel. He was particularly active in the weeks leading up to his placement, sometimes drawing controversy with his statements, including criticism of the IDF Chief of Staff.

Despite his diminished public profile, Bardugo remains actively involved behind the scenes. His future media presence is expected to depend on Prime Minister Netanyahu's strategic focus.
