Israeli Swimmer Noy Tavakoli Wins Two Bronze Medals at European Special Olympics

Israeli swimmer Noy Tavakoli from Kiryat Ono has returned to Israel following exceptional achievements at the European Special Olympics swimming championship held in Malta. The Israeli delegation consisted of four swimmers and two coaches, competing against approximately 350 swimmers from 40 European countries.

Tavakoli achieved significant success, earning two bronze medals. She secured third place and a bronze medal in the 100-meter freestyle, also breaking her personal record in the event. Additionally, she finished sixth in Europe in the 50-meter freestyle and won another bronze medal in the mixed relay alongside her teammates.

This accomplishment marks an emotional milestone for Tavakoli, capping five years of intensive training with the Special Olympics Israel HT team. Her family highlighted that beyond the medals, her achievement represents a long journey of determination, daily perseverance, and a deep passion for swimming.

The Kiryat Ono Municipality warmly congratulated Noy, expressing immense pride in her representation of the city and country on the international stage, and praised her willpower and dedication that led her to the European podium.
