Israeli AI Startup Chamelio Raises $26 Million for Legal Tech Platform
Israeli legal tech startup Chamelio announced Tuesday it has closed a $26 million Series A funding round, led by Entrée Capital with participation from existing investors Work-Bench and Emerge Ventures, and Bright Pixel Capital. This latest investment brings the company's total funding to $36 million.
Chamelio develops an AI platform designed to assist in-house legal departments at technology companies, addressing the growing workload and limited resources they face. The platform aims to automate and manage various aspects of contract lifecycle management, from drafting and negotiation to post-signature processes. It can generate documents based on existing contracts, review terms, negotiate, route requests, track obligations, and execute multi-step legal processes.
The system operates autonomously on low-risk, routine tasks, escalating complex cases requiring human judgment to legal professionals. It integrates with existing enterprise systems like Salesforce, Slack, and NetSuite, embedding legal operations within broader business workflows. The company also provides Legal Engineering support for implementation and data migration.
Chamelio, founded in 2024 by CEO Alex Zilberman, COO Gil Benias, and CTO Gal Lalouch, currently serves hundreds of clients, including Wiz, monday.com, Socure, and AppsFlyer. The new funding will be used to further develop its AI model, expand its Legal Engineering and product teams, and enhance its implementation technologies.
"The real value in legal AI is created when it can understand the context of the organization, make decisions based on its accumulated knowledge, and perform some of the work itself," said Alex Zilberman, CEO and co-founder of Chamelio. He added that the next generation of legal work will connect lawyers, Legal Engineers, and AI agents, transforming organizational legal knowledge into actionable insights.
Eran Bilsky, General Partner at Entrée Capital, praised Chamelio's ability to centralize legal knowledge and perform an increasing volume of work, noting the founders' rapid learning and responsiveness to client feedback as key strengths positioning the company to redefine the legal tech category.
