TV Host Questions Who Caused Yair Lapid's Political Downfall

This question comes as Lapid's Yesh Atid party, which previously held 24 Knesset seats, is now polling at only 8-10 seats following a union with Naftali Bennett under the 'Achva' party. Political commentators have described the situation as a "glorious crash."

In recent weeks, a wave of resignations has hit the party, with senior members like Meir Cohen, Mickey Levy, Debbie Biton, Tatiana Mazaraki, and Karin Elharrar announcing their departures. Party officials claim that many were told by Lapid to announce their resignations to avoid being placed in unrealistic positions on the party list.

For the past four years, journalist Yinon Magal has reportedly mocked Lapid on various platforms, including a segment called "The Nightly Lapid," where he highlighted statements made by Lapid, which Magal deemed ridiculous. Regardless of the specific cause, Lapid's party has experienced a significant decline.
