Former Miss Israel Titi Aynaw Endorses Avigdor Lieberman's Yisrael Beiteinu Party

International media and advocacy figure Titi Aynaw, who was crowned the first Ethiopian-Israeli Miss Israel in 2013, has officially declared her support for Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party. Aynaw, who immigrated from Ethiopia at age 12 after losing her parents, served as an officer in the Military Police, and has become an influential social and political voice, cited Lieberman's experience and consistency as reasons for her endorsement.

Aynaw stated that, like Lieberman, she understands the challenges of immigration and absorption, and believes he correctly identified the potential for the October 7th attacks when the leadership was unresponsive. She called for a state commission of inquiry, a universal draft law, and increased representation for Ethiopian Israelis in decision-making positions.

Lieberman welcomed Aynaw's support, praising her "independent voice" and "story of determination and breakthrough." He highlighted her efforts in defending Israel internationally during a period of "unprecedented cognitive decline" and expressed his desire for her to utilize her international advocacy skills to advance Israel's standing.

Aynaw's endorsement comes amid political turmoil for Yisrael Beiteinu, as Lieberman has been vocal in his criticism of potential "change bloc" partners, warning of division that could harm their electoral prospects. In a recent interview, Lieberman sharply criticized Gadi Eisenkot, chairman of the "Yisrael" party, suggesting his current strategy weakens the entire bloc for personal gain.
