Food Delivery App 'Mishloha' Offers Weekly Free Delivery on Thursdays
Israeli food delivery app Mishloha is launching a significant change to its customer incentives, transforming its monthly free delivery promotion into a weekly event every Thursday, branded as 'FreeDay.' Under this new model, customers ordering from participating restaurants and businesses on Thursdays will receive the full delivery fee back as cashback in their app's digital wallet, usable on future orders.
The company states this strategic shift aims to establish a consistent weekly consumer habit. The choice of Thursday is deliberate, as Mishloha's data indicates it is the busiest ordering day of the week, coinciding with the start of the weekend when Israelis often host guests, socialize, or opt out of cooking.
This move occurs amidst intense competition in the food delivery sector. Notably, Haat, an Israeli delivery company founded in Umm al-Fahm to serve the Arab population, is expanding into Tel Aviv to compete directly with Wolt. Haat's expansion garnered international attention, with CNN reporting on its innovative solutions for delivery challenges in areas with unmapped streets and residences.
