Eilat's Dekel Neighborhood to Undergo Major Redevelopment Project

The Southern District Planning and Building Commission has approved the "Evacuation-Construction" project for the Dekel neighborhood in Eilat, paving the way for significant urban renewal. The project aims to replace older buildings containing 208 apartments with new, modern structures. These will include 7-10 story buildings and two high-rises reaching 25 and 27 floors, collectively offering 474 apartments. The initiative also encompasses the development of commercial spaces, public buildings, and open public areas. The project is being managed by the State Administration for Urban Renewal due to the low profitability that deterred private developers. The redevelopment is expected to revitalize the neighborhood and increase housing capacity.
