Prominent Rabbi Meir Tzvi Bergman Makes First-Ever Prayer Pilgrimage to Mount Meron

Rabbi Meir Tzvi Bergman, a leading Lithuanian Haredi rabbi and Rosh Yeshiva (head of a religious seminary), embarked on his first-ever prayer pilgrimage to the tomb of Rabbi Shimon bar Yochai in Meron, northern Israel, on Tuesday. The visit occurred during the Ten Days of Repentance, a significant period in the Jewish calendar.

Rabbi Bergman traveled in a sprinter van previously used by Rabbi Chaim Kanievsky, a prominent deceased rabbi, and currently used by Rabbi Meir Sternbuch, another leading decisor of Jewish law. He arrived at the holy site in the afternoon.

During his prayers, Rabbi Bergman interceded on behalf of those who support his yeshiva and its activities, including donors to the "I Sacrificed My Soul" campaign. He also recited "Mi Sheberach" prayers for the recovery of the Rebbes of Vizhnitz and Belz, two major Hasidic dynasties.

A group of Rabbi Bergman's close disciples accompanied him on this significant spiritual journey.
