A United Hatzalah medic saved the life of a two-year-old girl who suffered a severe allergic reaction at home in Jerusalem’s Zichron Moshe neighborhood. The incident happened after the child was exposed to the smell of eggs, which triggered anaphylactic shock.
The medic, Daniel Ben Shushan, said he treated the girl immediately at the scene and injected her with an EpiPen, an epinephrine auto-injector. After her condition stabilized, she was taken to a hospital for further treatment.
The report did not say when the incident occurred or which hospital received her, but it confirmed that the quick response prevented the situation from becoming fatal.
