Influencer Elin Cohen Reflects on Tumultuous Year, Faith After Wedding Cancellation

Israeli social media influencer Elin Cohen shared a personal and candid post on the eve of Yom Kippur, reflecting on a difficult year that included the cancellation of her wedding to Bar Levi. Cohen, who has observed a 15-year tradition of a vow of silence on Yom Kippur, stated that this year she approached the day differently, acknowledging her anger towards God.

"This year I was also angry at Him," Cohen wrote, detailing her feelings of anger and questioning why significant life events, like her dream wedding, were taken away just before they were to occur. She expressed frustration with the world, life, and the divine, posing questions about the timing and reasons behind these challenges.

However, Cohen concluded her reflection by stating she is no longer angry and has reconciled with God. She expressed gratitude for her journey, the lessons learned, the people in her life, and for both what remains and what has passed. She believes the outcome was the right path for her.

Cohen also reiterated her deep desire to build a family, become a wife and mother, and create her own home. She expressed hope that, in due time, she will find her life partner and realize this dream.
