Palestinian Worker Found Dead in Umm Al-Fahm After Fearing Job Loss

The body of a worker from the occupied West Bank was discovered in the city of Umm Al-Fahm on Monday evening. Local sources identified the deceased as Omar Al-Saddah from the village of Jait, east of Qalqilya. Al-Saddah had reportedly fallen from a height several days prior, sustaining serious injuries.

However, he allegedly refrained from seeking medical treatment due to fears of repercussions for not possessing a work permit and the potential loss of his livelihood. Medical personnel arriving at the scene confirmed finding a man, estimated to be around 40 years old, unconscious and subsequently pronounced dead.

The Israeli police stated they have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the discovery of the body of a Palestinian residing illegally. They are collecting evidence and examining all possible angles as the investigation continues.
