Anna Pines Takes Senior Reporting and Hosting Role at Kan News
Anna Pines, daughter of Israeli television host Guy Pines and media personality Ruti Rodner, has announced her new position at Kan 11, Israel's public broadcaster. Pines will serve as a magazine and investigative reporter, as well as an anchor.
Pines shared the news on her Instagram account, expressing her excitement for this new chapter. She stated, "A short and happy system announcement :) Soon I will start a new path at the beloved home, Kan News, as a magazine and investigative reporter, and an anchor. After five years of running from one arena to another, it's time to fulfill another dream and start the next challenge. I am very much looking forward to your stories, interesting, infuriating, touching, or happy. Of course, here we continue as usual with the 'Parsha of the Week' and many more exciting things planned."
This move follows Pines's joining of the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation at the end of 2023, after concluding her role as a reporter for the Tel Aviv and Central region at Galei Tzahal (Army Radio). Upon joining Kan News, she covered the Tel Aviv and Central region for television, alongside Yonatan Raveh, who covered the area for radio.
Earlier this year, Pines was part of the Kan 11 delegation covering the World Cup. During the program "World Cup on Seven," she recounted an encounter with former soccer star Bastian Schweinsteiger, after discovering the person who approached her during a match was the former Bayern Munich and German national team star. Pines will now continue her professional journey at Kan News in her expanded role, focusing on magazine features and investigations alongside her anchoring duties.
