Israeli Minister Ben-Gvir Storms Al-Aqsa Mosque Compound, Angering Palestinians
Palestinian sources reported that Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir entered the courtyards of the Al-Aqsa Mosque on Sunday, accompanied by Israeli occupation forces. The Jerusalem Governorate stated that Ben-Gvir entered the mosque under heavy security from the occupation police and performed Talmudic rituals in the eastern area of the compound.
The Ministry of Endowments and Religious Affairs condemned the "extremist minister's" incursion into Al-Aqsa Mosque, alongside a number of settlers and under heavy protection from occupation forces. The ministry asserted that these repeated incursions and provocative actions represent a blatant violation of the sanctity of Islamic holy sites and a malicious attempt to impose a new reality and change the existing historical and legal status quo at the Al-Aqsa Mosque.
