Israeli Special Forces Arrest West Bank Shooting Suspect in Ramallah Hospital
The Israeli military announced that a special forces unit apprehended the individual responsible for a deadly shooting attack in the Benjamin region, also known as Neve Tzuf, on September 20, 2026. The arrest took place inside a hospital in Ramallah after an intensive intelligence and operational pursuit.
According to a joint statement from the military and the Shin Bet security agency, an Israeli tracker from a regional brigade heard gunfire near the attack site. The tracker engaged the suspect, wounding him, but the assailant managed to escape despite his injuries.
Precise intelligence led a special forces unit from the Duvdevan unit to a nearby hospital where the suspect had sought refuge and medical treatment. The unit raided the facility and arrested him alive.
The military affirmed its commitment to continuing to pursue all those who threaten the security of Israeli citizens and forces.
