Defense Minister Vows Swift Capture of Terrorist After West Bank Attack

Defense Minister Israel Katz responded Sunday to the fatal shooting attack in the settlement of Neve Tzuf, located in the Benjamin region, where a man in his 30s was killed. Katz expressed his condolences to the victim's family, stating, "On the eve of Yom Kippur, our hearts are with the family of the murdered man in the terror attack in Neve Tzuf. I send heartfelt condolences to the family in their difficult time."

He praised the Israeli military forces actively pursuing the assailant, expressing confidence in their swift apprehension. "I am convinced that IDF forces will quickly locate the terrorist and bring him to justice," Katz stated. He also commended soldiers at the Ganim checkpoint for neutralizing one terrorist and capturing another, thereby preventing further attacks.

Katz emphasized the readiness of the IDF and security forces to defend Israel's borders and citizens against enemies seeking to carry out attacks, particularly on the holiest day for the Jewish people.
