IDF Chief of Staff Orders Reinforcements in Hunt for West Bank Terrorist
Following a severe shooting attack near the settlement of Neve Tzuf in the Benjamin region, IDF Chief of Staff Aviv Kochavi held a special situation assessment on Sunday. During the meeting, which included senior command staff, Kochavi ordered the reinforcement of forces involved in the ongoing manhunt for the perpetrator.
The directive aims to bolster troop deployment in the area, block potential escape routes, and enhance security around settlements and main roads in the sector to ensure resident safety. The military stated that soldiers and security forces are continuing extensive searches and road closures in the Benjamin area.
Israeli forces are employing both overt and covert means in their determined effort to locate and apprehend the fleeing terrorist, bringing them to justice. The search operation is ongoing.
