Gaza Health Ministry Reports 3 Dead, 21 Injured in Israeli Strikes

The Palestinian Ministry of Health reported on Sunday that three Palestinians were killed and 21 others injured in the past 24 hours due to ongoing Israeli actions in the Gaza Strip. The ministry's daily statistical report indicated that Gaza's hospitals received the casualties within that timeframe. Since a ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, the death toll has risen to 1,393, with 4,822 wounded and 831 individuals recovered from under rubble. The cumulative toll from Israeli operations in Gaza now stands at 73,910 dead and 174,935 injured.

The Israeli military has continued to violate the ceasefire agreement, brokered by Arab and American mediators in Sharm El Sheikh on October 10, 2025, for the 346th consecutive day. New breaches were recorded on Sunday, including tank and military vehicle fire, artillery shelling, house demolitions, and strikes on refugee tents and shelters, primarily in Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip. In Khan Younis, Israeli military vehicles fired intensely towards the southern areas, while helicopters targeted eastern areas, accompanied by artillery shelling and vehicle fire. In Gaza City, Israeli naval vessels fired towards the coast, and eastern areas faced heavy tank fire, alongside helicopter fire in eastern and northern parts of the Strip. Helicopters also fired near the Al-Alam roundabout south of Rafah, and Israeli forces launched smoke and illumination flares in eastern Jabalia refugee camp in the north.

These developments occur amid continuous Israeli field violations across Gaza, despite the ongoing ceasefire and understandings related to de-escalation. The escalation coincides with persistent disagreements over implementing the second phase of the de-escalation, despite understandings reached in July 2026. U.S. President Donald Trump announced a "new agreement" on July 31, 2026, to begin the second phase of the Gaza "road map," but Israeli violations persist.
