Three Illegal Immigrants Arrested in North Tel Aviv for Car Theft

Israeli police in northern Tel Aviv arrested three individuals suspected of car theft and bicycle theft in the lead-up to Yom Kippur. The arrests occurred during a proactive operation by officers from the Tel Aviv North station in the Yarkon area.

The first incident involved a vehicle with a smashed window, reported stolen shortly before from the Tel Baruch neighborhood. The 22-year-old driver, an illegal resident from Jericho, attempted to flee from officers, leading to a short, controlled police chase and roadblock. The suspect resisted arrest but was eventually apprehended.

Later that night, officers identified another stolen vehicle, taken minutes earlier from the Tzahala neighborhood, as it headed towards Highway 5 East. The driver, a 23-year-old resident of Al-Arroub without permits, was arrested.

In a separate incident in the city's north, a rider on an electric bicycle was stopped for traffic violations. His identity revealed him to be a 35-year-old illegal resident from the Hebron district, and the bicycle was found to be stolen. The bicycle was returned to its owner.

All three suspects were taken for further investigation at the Tel Aviv North station, and police intend to request an extension of their detention from the court.
