Channel 12 Dominates Ratings on Eve of Yom Kippur Amidst Broad Decline
On Saturday evening, the eve of Yom Kippur, Israeli television channels experienced significantly low viewership, with most news broadcasts seeing a sharp decline. Channel 12's weekend news edition was the only program to surpass 10% viewership, achieving 11.1% and securing the top spot.
In contrast, other channels performed poorly. Channel 13's Saturday news edition garnered 3.9%, Kan 11's Saturday news received 3.8%, and Channel 14's "Motzash Studio" recorded 3.5%. i24's "Shabbat Magazine" concluded the news ratings with 2.2%.
During the prime-time slot, Channel 12's reality show "Baby Boom" led with 9.5% viewership, though it represented a negative record for the program. Channel 14's "The Patriots" followed with 5%. A tie occurred for third place between Kan 11's "Underwear and Undershirts" and Channel 13's "The Transit Camp," both at 3.5%. i24's "The Arabists" registered a low 0.8% viewership.
