Maccabi Rishon LeZion Crowned Youth Champions at Maccabi Israel Tournament

Maccabi Rishon LeZion has won the Maccabi Israel Youth Tournament, defeating Maccabi Omer Rehovot 95-73 in the final. In the girls' division, Maccabi Ra'anana emerged victorious, overcoming Maccabi Noa Tel Aviv 70-59 in overtime. Itai Lev of Maccabi Rishon LeZion was named the boys' MVP, narrowly missing a triple-double with 20 points, 9 rebounds, and 9 assists. Rona Tzalel from Maccabi Ra'anana earned the girls' MVP award for her impressive performance in the final, scoring 20 points, 11 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Both winning teams received a package of physical assessment and performance improvement tests valued at 10,000 shekels each, sponsored by Maccabi Israel and Vortex. The MVP players received a 300 shekel prize for purchases at Maccabi Market, courtesy of Energym-Bas-Gal.

The finals concluded three days of successful competition and the MBC training camp, organized by Maccabi Israel. The event, held at the Maccabiah Village, featured 11 youth teams from the Premier League, including Maccabi Tel Aviv, Maccabi Haifa, and Maccabi Ashdod. The participants also shared a festive Shabbat reception led by Maccabi Israel CEO Naor Galili.

Before the finals, Maccabi Teddy Tel Aviv secured third place in the boys' tournament by defeating Bnei Herzliya 69-39. In the girls' division, AS Ramat Hasharon took third place after a 45-37 win over Maccabi Haifa. Awards were presented by various Maccabi Israel officials and representatives from the basketball association and league.

Maccabi Israel CEO Naor Galili praised the event as an "extraordinary weekend" that honored the future of Israeli basketball, calling the tournament a testament to Maccabi Israel's leadership in the sport. He thanked the organizing team for a "wonderful production" and wished everyone a successful season.
